From Passion To Profession: Starting Mettle & Bloom
Today, I want to share with you the story of how I transitioned from being a primary school teacher in Dublin for the past 5 years to founding Mettle & Bloom.
It's a tale of dreams, creativity, and the unwavering belief in the power of pursuing one's passions.
My journey began in an amazing school, where I had the privilege of teaching bright young minds in the 3rd and 4th classes.
It was an incredibly fulfilling job, and I cherished every moment of it. The joy of imparting knowledge and watching my students grow was immeasurable. But I couldn’t avoid my passion to start my own business and continue to inspire others.
With this dream in mind, I took a leap of faith.
I dedicated countless hours to honing my skills, educating myself about the world of business and e-commerce, and carrying out research. It wasn't easy, and at times my imposter syndrome and feelings of panic and fear were difficult to cast aside, but my passion and determination fuelled my efforts.
Every lesson I'd learned as a teacher, every challenge I'd overcome, and every moment of inspiration from my students helped to shape me into the entrepreneur I was becoming.
